SolidEnergy is a startup commercializing a breakthrough battery technology developed at MIT and is seeking senior scientists. The ideal background includes: -PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, mechanical engineering or related fields -at least 2 years of postdoc or industry experience is a great plus -lithium metal surface chemistry -lithium dendrite formation mechanism -lithium battery electrolyte (carbonate, additives, ionic liquid, solid polymer) -materials characterization (NMR, ICP, FTIR, SEM, TEM, MassGC, BET, Conductivity, TGA, Elemental Analysis, Atomic Absorption, etc.) -polymer film coating -cell assembly (pouch and coin cells) -cell testing (cycling, electrochemical analysis)
